Sorry i made a mistake..i first thought about you commenting on the 3gp file conversion post above..sorry..
Strictly speaking i just quoted wat they said in their website didnt tried out for 3gp..i didnt had a video playin mobile phone by then..so it never occured to me then..i just created a .mov file using it thats all..
Any ways happy to inform all that i found a nice way to convert video file into 3gp (to put it to my recently acquired chinese ,cheap mobile phone )and more exciting is it is done in in Ubuntu and it is really really great..so once again cheers to Linux!!!!!!!
Mobile Media Converter
Visit http://www.miksoft.net/mobileMediaConverter.htm for more it is really cool
The Mobile Media Converter is a free video and audio converter that uses ffmpeg to convert between popular desktop formats like MP3, Windows Media Audio (wma), Ogg Vorbis Audio (ogg), Wave Audio (wav), MPEG video, AVI, Windows Media Video (wmv), Flash Video (flv) and commonly used mobile phones formats like AMR audio (amr, awb) and 3GP video. Also, export to iPod/iPhone compatible MP4 video is also supported. An integrated YoutTube downloader is available for direct downloading and converting to any of these formats!
The program has a very easy-to-use and simple GUI (Graphical User Interface) that helps even the most amateur user. Most of the times, the only data that you must enter is the input file(s) or just drag 'n' drop the input file(s)! The 3GP and AMR formats are used by mobile phones for MMS, for video and sound recordings, etc.
