I was in search for a long time for a suitable tool to convert my video files to 3GP format to be exported into my Mobile Phone. I didnt succeded on Ubuntu with FFMPEG till this day..We should install ffmpeg from the medibuntu repository..But i dunno it doesnt work for me
So I ve to use windows again for this thingĀ Pity..
But happy news is that i still used ffmpeg from net to do this..which is opensource after all
So what you need to do is pretty simple 4 steps
1.Download & Unzip This File to your desktop
2.Copy the File To be Converted into This extracted directory
3.Run The ‘3GP Converter.bat’ file(Its not virus u can check if u want the source file is provided)
4.Enter the input and output file names
Enjoy new videos on your mobile !!!
Downloading Flash videos from a site has been always a headache to me in windows and when i migrated to Linux too.My method was to use Mozilla Firefox and install plugins for it to get the embedded videos. This method worked with popular sites like you tube but at times gave error that “This site is not supported” or so.
Today i was surfing around the net to get around this usual difficulty, after opening certain videos in mozilla, then accidently i happened to visit the /tmp/ directory of my Hardy Heron and there it was all the Video files i was viewing lying waiting to be copy pasted..
This was an amazing discovery..i dont know whether it work for all..
I happend to get the files when i paused them while playing in mozilla and browsing into this folder..
Cheers to hardy
I found a nice tutorial in which the usage of Symlink is nicely covered..
